Howard enlisted in the US Navy in 1950 and received his honorable discharge in 1954.  A committed Christian, he gave literature to these men while he was in Japan.  While he was in San Diego, he worked with "Mother Layne's Hospitality Home for Servicemen."

2005 - Back to Alaska to work with Yukon Delta church in Emmonak and Camp A.N.
2005, off to Emmonak, Alaska
Howard served as pastor of Prince of Peace Assembly of God in Klawock, Alaska from 1999 to 2004.  In 2005 and 2007, he traveled to other parts of Alaska as an interim pastor.
At our farewell party, April 2004, Native heritage dancers performed for us.  What an honor!

As we traveled to Kansas, we stopped by the visit the McGuffey family in Montana.

 


Howard's preferred nickname was "Ho," as in ho, ho, ho,
which he heard a lot!
